We wrote a lot of content this year about AI, marketing and how the two intersect — everything from industry news, top tools, best practices, concerning trends and more. Only the most dedicated readers might’ve consumed each and every post over the last 365 days. So, whether you’re new to the blog or have some catching up to do, here are our top posts of 2025 along with the between-the-lines themes readers were most interested in, and what those tell us about the state of the industry.

Marketers Want To Know Where They Stand

Our top page of the year wasn’t a blog post at all, rather, a gated landing page for our inaugural white paper about the State of AI Adoption in Marketing Teams.

Many, many marketers were curious to learn more about the state of AI adoption last year. Whether readers wanted to gauge their organizations AI maturity against others, learn how to approach AI for marketing for the first time or simply satisfy their curiosity of the subject, the abundant interest in this asset tells us people are eager to know how others are approaching AI for marketing, and perhaps even looking for inspiration or example use cases to apply to their own work.

Psst: Stay tuned for our 2nd annual AI in Marketing survey results, coming soon! It’ll be interesting to compare how the numbers differ with this new addition to gauge just how much has changed in one calendar year.

Psst2: A white paper is on the agenda for our newest edition of the survey, too! Will it make our roundup this time next year, or will readers’ interests shift?

Theme #2: Risk Management & Responsible AI

Top posts in this theme:

Big Mistakes & AI Scandals Serve as Valuable Learning Moments

I was glad to see a handful of what I’ll call our ‘risk management and responsible AI’ blog posts stake claims in our top 10 list, because it means that marketers are cautious with adoption even though eagerness to use AI tools is high.

The subjects of each of these posts and the ‘mistakes’ they made serve as learning moments and case studies on how not to approach AI strategy. It’s nice to see our readers not only supremely interested in how, when and why they might use AI, but also how they definitely shouldn’t approach it. If you’re just starting to build an AI roadmap for 2026, learn from these mistakes, and you’ll start off on great footing.

Theme #3: AI Enablement & Practical Adoption

Top posts in this theme:

Marketers Are Eager To Learn How To Apply AI Tools Effectively

This is the largest theme in the year’s roundup with 4 posts that fit nicely within. Marketers are evidently interested in practical, effective AI use cases. And not just that, but with blogs like “AI Overviews and SEO: Do They Help or Hurt Each Other?” falling into our top posts list, it looks like readers also want to know how the technology is affecting or might interact with existing elements of their content strategy.

Case in point: the ai marketer blog is nothing if not a tremendous resource for learning all about how to responsibly and effectively use some of the industries most popular and capable tools, so you can bask in the warmth of their objective benefits while keeping humanity at the center.

Theme #4: Roundups & Rapid Insights

Top posts in this theme:

Easily-Digestiable Content Wins the Day

I was expecting at least one of our monthly roundups to land in our top 10 — there are 12 entries so far, after all — but two is even cooler. AI is rapid, as is the marketing industry. Combine the two and it’s most difficult to keep up with everything that’s happening, seemingly all at once. Even still, marketers want to stay in the loop. Amid all the noise are important AI updates, releases and revelations. Our AI in Marketing Roundup and Rundown series aims to pluck the more important or compelling stories from each month into bite-sized quick hits that help get readers up to speed without having to dig for it or wade through countless incoming articles.

This series is a mainstay and will continue into 2026, so tune in in the New Year to keep up with it all!
